These six letters, when re-arranged, can form two key words – both absolutely critical & essential to our development as Leaders:
SILENT and LISTEN
In order for us to Listen – truly listen – we first must be, and remain for a time, Silent. For us to hear – truly hear – that which we need to hear we must learn the act of silence.
‘Silent’ is not simply about not talking.
Being silent is to be open to hearing what our body, soul, spirit and mind are telling us.
Being silent is to be non-aligned to our biases, desires, wants & needs.
Being silent is to be open to being right & being wrong, to not knowing the answers or perhaps even the questions.
Being silent is to be without ego, to not having to have our say, to not be needed, to not fix and not resolve.
For it is only when we are without the noise of our own selves – when we are truly silent – that we can begin to listen.
